The Middle Part

The Middle Part is all about how we use the media and how it uses us. It analyses different topics and unpacks observations about the media. Sometimes, it looks at theories and the current media landscape. Other times it is just an effusive stack of recommendations. It is not only about the role the media plays in our lives but the media as its own institution in society. The purpose is to look at the messy, grey part of our relationship with the media. Hopefully then, we can use it in a way that benefits us.

The Middle Part is written by me, Natasha Stamos. I write and I teach Media. To say I am curious about, interested in, and obsessed by media and pop culture is an understatement. To see people identify with certain fandoms, share what shows they’re watching, and gasp with delight when they realise that someone else loves the same book as they do is forever fascinating to me.

I hope that The Middle Part allows you to unpack your intricate relationship with the media, delight in reading about different things and encourage you to try some different media too.
