Apparently, this isn’t that strange, but I’m fascinated by the YouTube channel Ride, Drive, Walk by Kelvin. According to Kelvin, the channel ‘started as a way to share videos of red-light camera / speed camera locations and now includes videos of mobile speed cameras, real-time drives, bike trails, metro train rides, and anything else I feel may interest others because it interested me.’ That makes me think of this Martin Scorsese quote that comes up on Pinterest…

A new online newspaper (in a kind of newspaper format) The Nightly has been launched in Australia. I first read about this in Unmade. I’m fascinated by the decision to replicate a newspaper in this online format.

I’m about to start teaching the topic Australian Stories which explores representations of Australian Culture in the media. Always an interesting time to reflect on what the media industry looks like. There has been a lot written lately about the Media’s day of reckoning. It’s interesting.
